The Hedgehog Rescue talk is highly visual and suitable for all age groups. Our aim is to educate the public about the everyday dangers hedgehogs face in our gardens and parks. We share interesting facts about hedgehogs and explain the simple steps people can take to help protect them.
(Please note that we only ever use toy hedgehogs to demonstrate the dangers caused by human carelessness).
We attend a wide range of events, including festivals, fetes and garden shows, bringing along our gift/ information/resources stall. Every purchase and donation helps to support Hedgehog Rescue.
For adult groups, we usually bring the full stall, offering a variety of gifts and resources. For schools and out of school groups, we bring a selection of our popular beanie hedgehog babies, priced at £3.50 each, which are always well received.
We are also happy to visit residential homes to deliver a talk, giving residents the opportunity to purchase gifts directly. If requested, the stall can be brought along to talks and community sessions. Many supporters choose items from our stall for the Shoebox Appeal, helping two charities at the same time. As always, every penny of profit goes towards supporting Hedgehog Rescue’s work.
