Our hedgehog hospital looks after about 300 hedgehogs every year, many of which are successfully re-released, with the help of our network of carers and volunteers.
This may involve coming to the hedgehog hospital to help with the physical care of the hedgehogs, looking after hedgehogs in their own gardens, or caring for hedgehogs prior to re-release. Many of our carers are also registered with the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and have taken the Hedgehog First Aid course.
Hedgehog Rescue also has opportunities for people with wishing to help with the physical care of hedgehogs, maintenance of the hospital, attending education/awareness-raising events and all sorts of fundraising.
